Oh boy. That’s one hell of a premise but I think it’ll be hard to pull off. I hope it delivers. Regarding The Invisible Man, I skipped that because I remember feeling as I watched the trailer, that the movie was focused on male violence against women. Is this the case?

It does have an abusive relationship at the core, but The Invisible Man story usually does. The recent one differs from past tellings in that Griffin’s abusive personality pre-dates the invisibility. The original story and movies, including The Hollow Man, tend to have a Ring of Gyges corruption element and the new one doesn’t. Invisibility is an attempt at “revenge” and gaslighting in the Blumhouse version.

Not appealing to everyone for sure, but I enjoyed it as a part of that genre.

think I should give it a try then. You know what version of The Invisible Man I think is great? The one in Alan Moore’s, “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”. Thank you for your reply Christian.

I am glad to see Blumhouse making classic monsters work. An advantage they have is that they dont need to fit the creatures into megabudget tentpole features which is one of the reasons Dark Universe never really took off.

It is sad what that did to Dracula Untold. That couldve been a much stronger film with a longer cut and no tieins to the DU.

Apologies if the text is in italian, however it is worth a glance for the contents of that book! Hope it helps, best
