Hollywood ruins books the same way one would compare Mexican food to taco bell, yes they're technically similar but one has superior quality and/or flavor. Though I would be lying if I said I would prefer one over the other, they both have their moments.
Watch the video and you'll learn how this opinion is wrong. Hollywood doesn't ruin movies at all. Anatomy of a Murder, Laura, Casino Royale, and many many more films are fantastic adaptations of novels. Some are even better than the books.
As for your Taco Bell comparison, that depends on the restaurant. I've eaten at places that are far inferior to Taco Bell and made me long for Enchiritos. Besides, why eat at Taco Bell when you've got King Taco?

I never really liked King Taco
Depends on my mood. As I alluded to above. I may love Cacao (https://www.cacaodeli.com/) in Eagle Rock, but I'm always down for an Enchirito.
