I only recently heard about the First Quest album from The Vintage RPG Podcast - that's so cool that the copy of the album Stu reviewed was your personal copy!
Another fantastic edition, Christian! Insights on D&D history and it's 50th, fun fantasy news, D&D themed movie discussion, and D&D ambiance music. 🧙♂️
On the other hand, here's what I just realized: when I do it for free, I don't have to worry about image clearances. My blog is 100% non profit; I don't even take donations. So nobody can claim I'm profiting off someone else's IP.
Sure, I'd say what I'm doing in this case is "transformative" and thus fair use, but without a lawyer to say it, that might not matter. So it might be safer keeping as is, unless I had an intern willing to look for screencaps, which seems like way too much work...
I wonder if the WWE has press release photos you could use. Those are released for media use, but yeah photos from a magazine etc. is very different. Probably not worth the huge amounts of money.
Screencaps are usually fair use, but not everything I want to use is on peacock. "No Holds Barred: The Match" is, I think, the only WWE pay-per-view they do not have.
(Honestly, Owen Hart might have more accurately portrayed "Anatomy of a Fall," but that would kill the fun of the thing)
As someone who owns a copy of, The First Quest, I urge anyone who collects vinyl and is into D&D, to pick up a copy. It's out of this world.
Thanks for shouting out The Soloist!

"Had he been willing to expand on the idea"
Hypothetically speaking, if someone wants to pay me to do that next year...
Hypothetically, that's very possible.
